Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Shift Manager for our paper mill in Jackson, AL. You will be the on-shift management representative to ensure safe operations, environmental compliance, quality, cost control and productivity across all shifts.

BS in pulp and paper or engineering, or equivalent experience; 2 years in paper mill ops; strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in pulp and/or paper engineering or equivalent experience.
• Two years of paper mill operations experience.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-shift safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control and productivity.
• Serve as a resource to department managers and team leaders; ensure effective communication across all shifts.
• Provide leadership coaching and feedback on overall performance to supervisors and managers.
