Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Market Grille Clerk to provide friendly, efficient service at the counter and over the phone. You will take orders, anticipate needs, and help ensure product availability while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced store environment.

No formal education is required; prior food service experience is a plus, and training is provided to help you succeed in this role. Night and weekend shifts may be required to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; training provided.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the Market Grille counter and on the phone.
• Take customer orders and assist with product requests.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and replenish as needed.
• Prepare and replenish products while ensuring food safety and freshness.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area throughout the shift.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and support special projects.
