Job summary

Hy-Vee Market Grille Clerk is a frontline role in our store, delivering fast, friendly service and preparing fresh, made-to-order foods. You will manage orders, assist customers, and work closely with team members to ensure a positive dining experience within a busy store kitchen environment.

This hourly position requires reliability, strong teamwork, and a commitment to Hy-Vee's safety and cleanliness standards. Experience in food service is a plus, and night & weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months or less experience in food service is a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the Market Grille counter.
• Take customer orders and manage telephone orders; assist with product orders.
• Review daily orders and prep/replenish products as needed to ensure freshness.
• Handle food safely and maintain sanitation throughout the shift.
• Operate the department register and process payments accurately.
• Maintain clean work area and assist in other store areas as needed.
