Job summary

Elite Hospice of Springdale, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks an Afterhours Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive hospice care after regular hours. You will triage calls, perform initial evaluations, and conduct after-hours visits, including admissions and routine rounds.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, a valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation. CPR certification and 1+ years of clinical experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient needs over the phone until an in-person visit by a nurse.
• Respond to after-hours crisis calls with urgency.
• Conduct nursing evaluations to determine hospice eligibility within 48 hours of referral.
• Perform after-hours visits including admissions, death, recertifications, and routine visits.
• Assess and document physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs at least every 15 days.
