Job summary

Maricopa County Community College District in Glendale is seeking a Custodian for nights and weekends to keep the campus clean and safe. Schedule includes Saturday-Sunday 10:00–18:30 and Monday-Wednesday 14:00–22:30, with a 12-month calendar and a salary range of $19.22–$22.54 per hour, DOE.

The role requires a valid Arizona Class D driver’s license and prior cleaning experience is preferred. MCCCD offers a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak at a level sufficient for job duties.
• Valid Arizona Class D driver’s license required; must meet driving standards.
• Experience cleaning a school or college setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with floor care equipment including stripping and waxing.
• One year of full-time MCCCD experience in the previous two years.
• May be required to climb ladders; lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes and vacuums floors and carpets.
• Cleans classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms and equipment; washes walls, windows, vents and lighting fixtures.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures; empties trash for classrooms and common areas.
• Performs assigned tasks in response to requests and complaints; keeps assigned tools and equipment clean and safe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
