Job summary

Valley Queen is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to plan and direct daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely shipping and receiving of finished goods and supplies. The role requires coordinating across departments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team to meet production and distribution goals.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, basic computer skills, and experience supervising a warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Forklift operator status required.
• Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent; two+ years supervisory warehouse experience; RF scanning experience; bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute department tasks under supervision.
• Provide daily direction to warehouse employees.
• Manage inventory locations within the warehouse with proper labeling/scanning.
• Monitor and advise management on inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain a replenishment system for plant supplies and finished goods.
• Ensure appropriate staffing to meet department needs.
• Coordinate communications with warehouse staff and other departments.
• Train and certify plant employees on forklift use.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Prepare schedules for warehouse employees and manage shipping/customer service representations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Lead Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the planning and execution of department tasks and understanding all warehouse shipping/receiving functions as they relate to finished goods and supplies. The WarehouseSupervisoroverseasandprovidesdailydirectiontothewarehouseemployees.This position requires strong communication with all departments within the entire supply chain to maintain efficient and productive shipping and receiving operations. Direct all general warehouse duties in a manner that supports the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and values.

Essential Functions

• UnderstandandenforceVQ’sexpectationsastheyrelatetoSafety,Quality,Service, Value and Teamwork.
• Representthewarehouseteamasneededininterdepartmentalcommunications.
• Develop,maintainandenforcemethodstoproperlyshipandreceivegoods.
• Manageinventorylocationswithinthewarehouse,includingproperlabeling/scanningto ensure accurate accounting.
• Monitorandadvisemanagementoninventorylevels.
• WorkwithLeadWarehouseSupervisortodevelopandmaintainaplantresupplysystem and plant finished goods shipping system to reduce labor costs and eliminate product damage. (10)
• Ensureproperandadequatestaffingtomeetdepartmentneeds.
• Managecommunicationswithwarehousestaffandalldepartmentstoensureasafe continuous product flow and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Performmonthlyinventoryofassignedsuppliesorgoods,andordering/replenishmentof assigned supplies. (10)

• Manage and train on general shipping office duties including driver check in, paperwork, preparationforoutboundloadsandprocessingandsubmissionofcompletedpaperwork.

• Prioritize,respondandtroubleshootalldailywarehouserelatedissuesinatimely manner to maintain regimented shipping/receiving schedules.
