Job summary

Midwest Foods is seeking a Night Warehouse Supervisor in the Chicago area to oversee all warehouse facilities, departments and equipment. You will ensure safety, maintain schedules, and manage 100+ staff across 5–8 departments during the night shift, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

The role requires 3+ years of warehouse management experience, forklift proficiency, and familiarity with NetSuite WMS. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 3 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in the produce industry.
• Ability to supervise 100+ employees across multiple departments.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse facilities, departments and equipment, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
• Assign tasks and supervise 5–8 departments and 100+ employees.
• Maintain shipping/receiving schedules and forecast inventory needs.
• Coordinate space allocation and staging areas and enforce procedures.
• Serve as point of contact for Warehouse Manager and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure regular preventive maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as required.
• Oversee night shift operations and related scheduling.

Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. We import fruits and vegetables from all over the world and distribute these products to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by hiring a Night Warehouse Supervisor.The Night Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse facilities, departments and equipment and ensure all functions are performed in adherence to company guidelines and protocols.Reports to: Warehouse Manager and OperationsSchedule: Sun-Fri 4pm-12:30aResponsibilities:Assist with shipping workflow and warehouse operations, ensuring safety and monitoring productivityAssign tasks and oversee warehouse associates across 5-8 departments (100+employees)Maintain and adhere to shipping/receiving schedules, prioritizing inventory management, quality control and forecastingAssist with space allocation and staging areas, ensure that warehouse employees are following procedures and using work resources and equipment efficientlyAct as a point of contact for Warehouse Manager, address and escalate employee issues to upper management, if necessaryEnsure regular preventative maintenance is performed on equipment and tools, report any issues/malfunctions to managerMaintain accurate documentation and recordsAssist in employee performance evaluations, issue disciplinary notices, complete post-accident procedures, etc.Other duties and tasks, as assigned by Night Warehouse ManagerRequirements:3 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in the produce industryAvailability to work night shift and holidaysExperience operating forklift or EPJ (preferred)Strong order fulfillment and outbound shipping experience; proficiency with NetSuite WMS or similar warehouse management systems preferredPrevious experience overseeing 100+ employees across multiple departmentsBilingual Spanish/English preferred.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in cold warehouse environments.Benefits:Health, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, VL, Accident, Critical Illness Insurance401-k with employer matchVacation and PTO/sick days
