Job summary

Midwest Foods is seeking a WMS Receiver to join our Chicago warehouse operations. Located in Chicago, IL, the role is Mon-Sat 1st shift with hourly pay between $19.00 and $20.00.

You will receive produce and related items, train staff on WMS and scanners, and help ensure accurate counts and records for inbound shipments. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in shipping/receiving, experience with NetSuite WMS, bilingual English/Spanish, and the ability to operate a forklift/walker rider.

Qualifications

• WMS experience required (NetSuite WMS preferred).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Must be able to drive Forklift/Walkie Rider.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving of produce.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving produce, food related items and non-food items.
• Train current and new employees on the WMS systems and scanners.
• Check quality and counts on trailers.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Fill out paperwork for all items received/shipped.
• Check quality of product.
• Coordinate and direct the process of stocking the product from the receiving dock to the warehouse.
• Responsible for rotating the product in the warehouse, FIFO.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow food - safety regulations.
• Inventory experience a plus.
