Job summary

Testa Produce, Inc. in Chicago seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to direct and optimize day-to-day warehouse operations for perishable goods. You will oversee order selection, staging, and accuracy using WMS/RF systems, enforce FIFO, and ensure cold-chain compliance.

Leading a PM warehouse team, you will coach staff, uphold safety with SOPs and GWPs, and collaborate with dispatch, transportation, and HR to maintain efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, management or related field, or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 5+ years in warehouse/distribution; 1-2 years supervisory/management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day PM warehouse functions, order selection, and staging using WMS and RF systems.
• Oversee night loading, pallet building, weight distribution, and adherence to USDA stacking guidelines (conventional vs. organic).
• Ensure FIFO rotation to optimize inventory flow and reduce damage/mis-picks.
• Support Dispatch and Transportation teams with routing and system-shipping orders for on-time departures.
• Reconcile orders, audit loads, and maintain organized warehouse for quick access.
• Enforce GWPs, SOPs, and strict food safety guidelines.
• Inspect outbound vehicles and cold-chain compliance.
• Lead warehouse sanitation and safety culture with the Safety Department.
• Manage MHE usage and training for forklifts, pallet jacks, and ramps.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA/DOT standards.
• Recruit, train, coach, and manage warehouse personnel; maintain records with HR/CAO.
