Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie, a leader in engineered connectors and solutions, seeks a Shipper/Receiver in Stockton, CA. Swing shift from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., $18.00/hour plus a $2.00/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities include packing, shipping, receiving, and stocking finished goods for internal and external orders. Eligible candidates will have forklift experience, PIT certification (at hire), DOT HazMat training (at hire), and at least 1 year in warehousing or shipping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
• D.O.T. Haz Mat Training (will certify at hire) required.
• 1 year warehouse, logistics and/or shipping experience required.
• Equipment: Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Safety: Prioritize safety and promote a safe work environment.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s/100s.
• Ability to work independently following instructions and policies.
• Attendance: Reliable, punctual attendance as per policy.
• Communication: Clear communication across departments.
• Quality standards knowledge and problem solving.
• Teamwork and initiative in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure incoming/outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards.
• Receive, check, rotate product; identify, tag, store finished inventory.
• Create and apply shipping docs (labels, packing list, bills of lading).
• Maintain a clean work environment; perform other duties as assigned.
