Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Stockton, CA is seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver to help process shipments, receive stock, and keep finished goods organized for internal and external orders.

Ideal candidates bring forklift experience, familiarity with SAP or similar ERP, and a commitment to safety. This swing shift role runs 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. with a $1.50/hour differential, and pays $18.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Simpson Strong-Tie PIT Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training (will certify at hire) required.
• 1 year warehouse, logistics and/or shipping experience required.
• Equipment: forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Safety: prioritize safe work practices and promote a safe work environment.
• Reading and following safety guidelines, work instructions and policies.
• Attendance: reliable, punctual attendance per policy.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet standards.
• Receive, check, rotate product and locate finished inventory.
• Create shipping documents like labels and bills of lading.
• Maintain a clean work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
