Job summary

Performance Foodservice in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Selector to efficiently fulfill customer orders. You will pick and move product between the loading dock and warehouse and operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and tuggers to prepare shipments.

The role requires Sunday to Thursday shifts starting at 6:00 pm, with a base rate of $27.00 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential. After 90 days, an option to work four days per week is available, along with competitive

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly during the shift
• Lift 10–35 lbs regularly; up to 60–100 lbs depending on location
• Work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer)
• Pass post-offer drug test
• Criminal background check after offer
• Become EPJ certified during training
• Complete required training independently

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Performs safety check on pallet jack / forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning properly.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Places pallets on pallet jack and operates along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually places the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required.
• Transports completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• At the end of the shift, secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
