Job summary

US Foods is hiring Night Warehouse Selectors to join a large foodservice distributor. Start pay is $29.01/hour with incentives; top performers can exceed $40/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and a strong safety culture.

Schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 6 PM start, with 8-hour shifts not guaranteed during the first 90 days. Responsibilities include safe order picking, palletizing, equipment checks, and accurate product handling across multi-temperature

Qualifications

• Recent experience in highly physical work is preferred.
• Ability to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sunday through Thursday.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in warehouse or distribution centers is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jacks or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity/accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct products, damage-free condition; deliver to correct dock and wrap pallets.
• Collaborate to clear aisles of debris, remove empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring To The Table

• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $29.01 and $29.26. This role will also receive overtime compensation and incentive compensation. Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, pension, and life insurance.
