Job summary

US Foods is seeking a warehouse cleaning/maintenance associate in Manassas, VA. The role focuses on cleaning, trash handling, pallet movement, spill control, and light maintenance in a fast-paced foodservice environment.

The position pays a base rate of $19.22 per hour, with Sunday through Thursday shifts from 2:00 pm until finish. Prior custodial experience is preferred, and the role requires ability to read, follow orders, and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans the warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empties trash and operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Moves pallets and cleans product bays on a rotating basis.
• Responds to spills and damages following food safety rules.
• Performs light maintenance tasks and tracks supplies.
• Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas.

The expected base rate for this role is $19.22hr.Shift: Sunday-Thursday 2pm-finishESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sweeps and cleans entire warehouse to maintain required level of cleanliness.Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.)Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.Operates scrubber, pallet jack and high lift if required to perform duties.SUPERVISIONRELATIONSHIPSInternal: Warehouse associates, Warehouse ManagerExternal: VendorsQUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training: High School education or GED preferred.Related Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision.
