Job summary

US Foods is seeking a warehouse janitorial associate to maintain cleanliness across the facility. You will perform sweeping, trash removal, and rotating cleaning duties while using site equipment such as floor scrubbers and pallet jacks.

The position runs Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with pay at $19.48 per hour and benefits starting on day one of employment.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Custodial/warehouse experience helpful.
• Able to read and write legibly; follow orders; basic math.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment listed in tools.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean the entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty trash, clean trash area daily; operate trash compactor when applicable.
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills and assess salvageability of damaged product per safety rules.
• Perform light maintenance duties such as bulb replacement and recycling tasks.
• Prepare reports documenting cleaning schedule and damages.
• May clean other warehouse areas including break rooms and offices.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas; operate equipment as needed.

BASIC PURPOSE

Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of division building and related property.

JOIN OUR WAREHOUSE TEAM!

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday between 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Pay: $19.48/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps and cleans entire warehouse to maintain required level of cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
• Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.)
• Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
• May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.
• Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
• Operates scrubber, pallet jack and high lift if required to perform duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Training: High School education or GED preferred.
• Related Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision. Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $17 - $21/hour. This role will also receive overtime compensation.
