US Foods in Billings, MT hires for a cleaning/maintenance role with a Monday–Friday 3:00am–11:30am shift. Starting pay is $18/hour, with potential up to $22/hour depending on experience and location.

Responsibilities include cleaning warehouses, trash handling, pallet movement, spill cleanup, light maintenance, and reporting on schedules. Basic education and custodial experience are preferred, with ability to read/write and follow directions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in custodial/warehouse cleaning preferred.
• Ability to read and write and follow orders.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans/sanitizes entire warehouse to maintain cleanliness.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans spills or damaged product per government and food safety requirements.
• Performs light maintenance duties (bulbs, recycling, etc.).
• Prepares various reports to document cleaning schedule and damages.
• Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas; operates scrubber and pallet jack if required.

PLEASE APPLY DIRECTLY THROUGH OUR INTERNAL WORKDAY CAREER SITEJoin Our Community of Food People!BASIC PURPOSEResponsible for the cleaning and maintenance of division building and related property.The Main Ingredients:Monday - Friday schedule3:00am - 11:30am$18/hour starting payESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sweeps and cleans/sanitizes entire warehouse to maintain required level of cleanliness.Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.Performs light maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.)Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.Operates scrubber, pallet jack and high lift if required to perform duties.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training: High School education or GED preferred.Related Experience: Previous custodial experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision. Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.
