Job summary

Sysco New Orleans (Division of USA II) is seeking an Operations supervisor for its night warehouse. You will oversee order selection, replenishment, loading, and safety, directing assigned staff to meet daily objectives in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong adherence to HACCP and food-safety standards. You will coordinate schedules, monitor inventory, and partner with other departments to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises night warehouse staff and safety.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts.
• Administers proper utilization of company assets in warehouse.
• Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
• Reviews night warehouse functions and productivity reports; suggests efficiency ideas.
• Conducts shipping and loading audit daily with proper documentation (HAACP, food safety, catch-weight).
• Assists with sanitation and facility/racking maintenance to ensure safety.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Maintains associate relations through regular pre-shift meetings and open communication.
• Ensures disciplinary actions and policy enforcement when needed.
• Executes management functions of staffing, development, and performance reviews.
• Complies with OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA and other regulations.
