Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations lead for night warehouse activities in a Florida facility. You will manage order selection, loading, stocking, and night-shift staff, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency across all warehouse functions.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehouse or logistics, with a high school diploma or GED and preferably a Bachelor’s in Business/SCM. Expect to drive continuous improvement and lead a diverse night team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor degree preferred.
• 3–5 years related experience in warehouse or logistics.
• Experience managing night shift and warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily work and safety of associates engaged in order selection and loading for all warehouse functions.
• Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts as needed.
• Handles proper utilization of company assets in the warehouse.
• Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
• Reviews night warehouse functions and productivity reporting.
• Suggests efficiency ideas and cost-reduction measures.
• Identifies problems and proposes solutions; promotes cross-department cooperation.
• Conducts shipping/loading audits with proper documentation (HAACP, food safety, catch-weight).
• Assists with sanitation and facility/racking maintenance for safety and cleanliness.
• Maintains regular department or pre-shift meetings to support associate relations.
• Maintains ongoing interaction and open communication with associates.
• Monitors morale and engagement, and lead discussions and meetings.
• Enforces company policies and procedures consistently.
• Coordinates with Safety for training, observations, and root-cause investigations.
• Makes disciplinary recommendations when required; supports performance management.
• Executes staff selection, development, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Performs duties of supervised associates and related tasks as needed.
• Complies with OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA and other regulations.
