Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Aurora, CO is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment overnight. You will inspect, repair, log actions, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
• Related Experience: A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and basic electrical and plumbing repairs; able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to warehouse-related equipment (i.e. dock doors, dock plates, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, etc.) to ensure machinery is available for day and night operations.
• Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log per USF policy.
• Perform PMs on equipment and maintain PM log with proper documentation per policy.
• Comply with safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, etc.)
• Maintain and secure battery-charging area and tools; manage inventory and storage of equipment.
• May purchase tools from vendors as authorized.
• Perform light maintenance duties as assigned (bulbs, painting, racks, etc.).
