Job summary

US Foods is hiring a dock loader to load outbound orders into designated tractor trailers, ensuring pallets are built securely and load diagrams are followed for daily deliveries.

Shifts run Sunday–Thursday with a 6:30 PM start. The role pays $23.69 per hour with weekly pay and benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and ESPP, life insurance and parental leave.

Qualifications

  • Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Related Experience: A minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be pallet jack certified; Good attention to detail; Ability to read load diagrams; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.
  • Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.
  • Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
  • Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.
  • Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature indoor/outdoor environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

COMPENSATION

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law . The expected base rate for this role is at $23.69/hour. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
