Job summary

US Foods in Hurricane, WV is seeking a Loader to safely load outbound orders into designated trailers, ensuring the drivers have the product stowed securely for efficient deliveries. Night shift, Sundays through Thursdays, starting 6:30 pm, with pay $22.05 per hour and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualified applicants will have a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of warehouse experience, and pallet jack proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound orders into designated trailers per procedures.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, correct temperature, and readiness.
• Ensure pallets are built and wrapped securely; verify headers.
• Follow safety practices and keep the dock area clean.
• Record load diagrams and submit completed paperwork.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Related Experience: A minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Pallet jack experience; Good attention to detail; Ability to read load diagrams; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Great Loaders are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our loaders strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with our team.

• Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.
• Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.
• Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
• Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.
• Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $22.05/hour and $22.05/hour.

As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, and Freezer premium.
