Blessey Marine Services, Inc. is seeking a Night Vessel Dispatcher in the Logistics department. The role runs 7 days on and 7 days off from 5:30 p.m.

to 5:30 a.m. You will coordinate all logistical aspects and vendor services for every vessel job assigned, ensuring accurate vessel logs and timely communications. Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and 2+ years in marine transportation, with strong Excel/Word skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Two or more years of Marine Transportation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in office software including Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review vessel logs for accuracy and enter events.
• Track barges daily and report dock orders, schedules, loads, and repairs.
• Coordinate vessel utilization with multiple departments.
• Communicate vessel positions, ETAs, orders, and docking schedules.
• Distribute orders and changes from Marketing to vessels.
• Arrange third-party loading/discharging services when needed.
• Prepare pass-downs and ensure seamless shift transitions.
• Manage fleet and warehouse operations during night shifts.
• Prepare and distribute daily administrative reports.
