Job summary

Merrill Gardens at The University is hiring a Universal Worker (Custodial) to support residents and maintain a clean, safe environment. The position offers opportunities to contribute to a caring senior living community with a team-focused culture.

The role includes maintenance, housekeeping, and light support tasks during the NOC shift (Thursday to Monday, 10:45pm–6:45am) and provides competitive pay, benefits, and advancement potential within a stable, family-owned organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Meet background check and specific requirements upon request.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks; repair and restore common areas and units as needed.
• Maintain walls, floors, doors and fixtures; inspect and address safety hazards.
• Provide housekeeping for common areas and resident rooms, inclusive of laundry.
• Assist with safety training and daily operations in the community.
• Support with deliveries, phones, and light administrative tasks.
