Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Full-Time Night Position that combines direct patient care with unit clerical duties in our patient care setting. Under the direction of a Clinical Nurse, you will assist the care team, maintain a clean environment, guide visitors, schedule tests, and help with patient sign-in/out and supplies delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification may be required or completed via IU Health PCA program.
• Basic life support may be required per unit policy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control basics.
• Basic computer skills for patient records and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse and support patient care team.
• Maintain a clean, orderly environment for patients and assist visitors and vendors.
• Schedule tests/procedures, maintain patient records, and sign patients in/out.
• Assist with ordering, receiving and delivering equipment and supplies.
• Provide continuous observation as needed, including suicide prevention when required.
