Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Sterling, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to verify credentials and report incidents.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and documenting observations.
• Complete required reports, logs, and shift handoffs with accurate information regarding patrols, incidents, and security-related activities.
