Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Unarmed Observation in Tempe, AZ. You will monitor and patrol the facility at a financial institution, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, maintaining logs, and coordinating with responders and leadership to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by communicating clearly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
