Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Arlington, VA for a full-time, unarmed patrol role. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service while safeguarding clients across aerospace/defense environments.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year security experience, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. CPR certification and a guard card are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations within an aerospace and defense environment.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials and authorizations, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
