Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group is seeking a Turret Operator for the 5pm-5am shift (Thu-Sun, alternating 3/4 nights) in Oklahoma. The role involves operating a rewind machine with a turret, cutting large rolls into smaller ones per job tickets, and ensuring accuracy of length, copy position, core size, and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Review job work instructions/tickets and set up the rewind machine properly for the job, including blades, cores, and copy position.
• Operate the machine to break the large press rolls into finished customer rolls.
• Review labels and rolls for quality and consistency.
• Perform splices in which two rolls of the same product are taped together and verify product IDs with supervisor sign-off.
• Verify Core IDs for finished rolls and place them inside/outside the roll with supervisor verification.
• Place finished rolls in the proper box and route for shipping or stock.
