Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV is seeking an Emergency Medical Trauma Technician Basic (ETTB) to support the Emergency Department with clinical and clerical duties. The role includes patient care assistance, stocking and equipment maintenance, and collaboration with ED physicians and RNs.

Ideal candidates have EMT or ED technician experience, current Nevada/NREMT Basic, and AHA BLS certification. The position offers full-time hours with benefits eligibility and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Six months EMT experience preferred, or six months ED Technician, or completion of Renown Emergency Medic Intern Program.
• Current State of Nevada and NREMT Basic certification is required upon hire; NREMT must be ACTIVE within 90 days.
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association is required.
• Must possess or obtain computer skills within 90 days to complete online learning and enroll in benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ED daily operations as an Emergency Medical Trauma Technician Basic (ETTB) and supply aide.
• Stock ED with supplies, equipment and instrumentation to ensure safe patient care.
• Perform unit clerk duties: receptionist duties, scheduling, and coordinating patient flow.
• Assist in trauma procedures and equipment handling per competency guidelines.
• Contribute to age-specific patient care across Neonatal to Geriatric populations.
