Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV seeks an Emergency Medical Trauma Technician Basic (ETTB) to support the ED team as a versatile care provider. You will perform technical procedures and assist in patient care under supervision, working with an ED physician and registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Six months EMT or ED technician experience preferred, or completion of Renown Emergency Medic Intern Program.
• Current State of Nevada and NREMT Basic certification required on hire; NREMT must be ACTIVE within 90 days.
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association required.
• Computer skills to complete online learning, access forms and policies.

Responsibilities

• Stock ED with required supplies, equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform technical procedures within scope of practice as approved.
• Provide age-specific patient care in collaboration with ED team.
• Perform unit clerk duties: receptionist, scheduling, and communication.
