Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute seeks a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a full-time role with Trauma Services at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. The position spans inpatient, ED, and potential OR assistance, with night shifts and weekend rotation.

Ideal candidates have trauma, critical care, surgical services or emergency medicine backgrounds, with ACLS/BLS mandatory and ATLS may be required. New grads with relevant ICU/trauma experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Trauma, critical care, surgical services, or emergency medicine background.
• MSN/APRN preparation and state licensure as nurse practitioner.
• ACLS/BLS mandatory; ATLS may be required depending on setting.
• New grads with ICU/trauma experience acceptable.
• Night-shift trauma/ED/ICU duties and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on ICU/step-down units; respond to trauma activations in the ED.
• Perform and interpret routine diagnostic procedures and advanced trauma procedures.
• Prescribe and monitor medications per state board/licensing and policies.
• Educate patients and families on disease and treatment options.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary care team for continuity and quality care.
