Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland seeks a Trauma Night Physician Assistant to provide overnight care in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center. You will collaborate with Trauma Surgery attendings, residents, and APPs to evaluate and manage trauma patients, respond to activations, and ensure safe patient disposition.

Ideal candidates have an accredited PA master’s degree, NCCPA certification, Ohio license, and required certifications (BLS/ATLS).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited master's PA program.
• National NCCPA certification is required.
• Ohio PA license and DEA registration eligibility.
• BLS and ATLS certifications or timelines met at hire.
• Hands-on sterile techniques and aseptic practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight trauma care in collaboration with trauma attending physicians.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments with labs and imaging.
• Respond to trauma activations and stabilize high-acuity patients per ATLS.
• Document orders and care plans and coordinate disposition.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide pre- and post-operative management in coordination with surgeons.
