US Foods is seeking a Coordinator, Transportation in Perth Amboy, NJ to support the transportation and logistics functions by performing general clerical activities and assisting in backhauls.

Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00 pm - Finish. The base rate is $23–$24/hr. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax accounts, retirement benefits, PTO, disability coverage, stock purchase plan and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative and customer issues; communicate route updates.
• Use software to create, update, and communicate reports (Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos).
• Assist in damages/shorts processes; notify vendors and drivers and complete paperwork.
• Support backhaul and logistics by scheduling pickups and communicating information.
