Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager to lead dock operations at our Lawrenceville terminal. You will oversee loading/unloading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight handling while guiding a team of drivers and dock workers.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, KPI-driven performance, and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with strong communication and tech-savviness valued.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train and mentor employees.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal.
• Manage loading/unloading freight and forklift traffic.
• Oversee picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production to meet KPI goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in product quality.
