Job summary

Aquent is seeking a Teleoperations Technician for an overnight assignment with a leading global automaker. You will prepare robot setups, run tasks via teleoperation interface, and ensure safe, reliable data collection through every shift.

You’ll inspect camera systems, verify readiness, launch software via Linux, monitor robot activity, and document outcomes with precision. A methodical, safety‑minded approach is essential for this execution role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with teleoperations, robotics operations, or data collection.
• Experience with camera-based systems and hardware checks before operation.
• Comfort with the Linux command line and startup/recovery procedures.
• Ability to operate software while monitoring a robot and maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the camera system before each session for angle, view, connections, and availability.
• Verify main teleoperations system and equipment readiness.
• Use Linux commands to start teleoperation data collection software.
• Launch tasks, monitor robot activity, and ensure safe operations.
• Reset scenes, reposition objects, and rerun pick-and-place tasks as needed.
• Detect hardware, software, or safety issues affecting data quality or safety.
• Use Fanuc pendant to position robot safely and recover tasks.
• Log outcomes, failures, resets, and observations with precision.
• Escalate recurring issues to engineering or operations teams.
• Follow site safety rules and shift handoff procedures.
