About the role:
We are seeking a hands-on Teleoperations Technician to support robotic teleoperations and data-collection activities. In this role, you will prepare and verify the teleoperations setup, launch the data-collection interface, operate tasks through the teleoperations GUI, and help maintain safe, reliable robot operation throughout each run.
The ideal candidate has practical experience with data teleoperations, robotics operations, lab or industrial automation, or a similar hands‑on technical environment. This is an execution-focused role: success depends on careful system checks, consistent use of standard procedures, attention to data quality, and immediate responseto safety or equipment issues.
What you’ll do:
- Inspect the camera systembefore each teleoperations session, including cameraangle, field of view, physical connections, and system availability.
- Verify that the main teleoperations system and connected equipment are ready for operation.
- Use documented commandson Linux systemto launch the teleoperations data collection GUI.
- Start tasks throughthe teleoperations GUI and monitorthe robot as it executesthe assigned activity.
- Support pick-and-place and similartasks by resetting the scene, repositioning objects or task elements, and rerunning tasks when required.
- Monitor task execution for unexpected robot behavior, systemerrors, camera issues,or other conditions that could affect safety or data quality.
- Draft observation to the minutedetails as much as possibleabout robot observation.
- Use the Fanuc teach pendantto move the robot to a safe, recoverable position and reset the task.
- Record task outcomes, failures, resets, and relevant observations accurately and consistently.
- Escalate recurring hardware, software, connectivity, or safetyissues to the appropriate engineering or operations team.
