Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem/night shifts. You will monitor EKGs, respond to alarms, and verify rhythm interpretations. A high school diploma is required, with preferred background in nursing/paramedic training.

Qualifications

• Completion of EKG class for Monitor Techs or equivalent课程 and competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to verify identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact.
• Proficiency in maintaining EKG monitor alarms and responding to alarms as needed.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watching monitors and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Complete EKG interpretations: rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT, ST, and rhythm interpretations.
• Coordinate with RN to validate strip interpretations and ensure patient safety.
