NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Technician for the Emergency Department on a part-time, night shift (7 pm–7 am) with alternate weekends. The role involves operating telemetry equipment, identifying rhythm changes, and supporting physicians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include labeling ECG strips, maintaining equipment, and contributing to patient safety. A high school diploma or GED is required, with basic medical knowledge and the ability to document accurately

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and write to record patient information and perform basic calculations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and physical sciences.
• Basic analytical skills to recognize abnormal heart rhythms or artifacts.

Responsabilités

• Operate telemetry monitors and set alarm parameters.
• Record baseline strips and document rhythm changes for physician review.
• Notify nursing staff of critical heart activity and label/ mount traces for review.
• Maintain telemetry equipment, logs, order supplies, and ensure proper documentation.
