NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Patchogue, NY, seeks a Cardiac Monitor Technician for the Emergency Department. This part-time night shift (7 pm–7 am, alternate weekends) operates telemetry equipment to identify rhythm changes and provides data to physicians and telemetry nurses.

You will label and mount ECG strips, maintain equipment, participate in staff orientation, and support safety and quality by documenting events and communicating with the team.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write to document patient information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and physical sciences.
• Ability to recognize abnormal heart rhythms and notify staff.
• Passing grade of 85% on the Dysrhythmia Proficiency Exam.

Responsabilidades

• Observe telemetry monitors and set alarm parameters.
• Obtain baseline strips at shift start and document events.
• Identify dysrhythmias and label/document patient data accurately.
• Notify staff of critical activity and mount tracings for review.
• Maintain equipment, log books, and stock supplies.
