Job summary

RUSH Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL seeks a Telemetry Technician for per diem night shifts. You will continuously monitor patient telemetry, verify rhythms, and respond to alarms to support critical care patients.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor vital signs and interpret basic rhythms.
• Ability to respond promptly and accurately to alarms with RN validation.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient telemetry and respond to alarms.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifact.
• Maintain EKG monitor alarms and ensure timely responses to alerts.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rhythm and QT measurements.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
