Phoenix Specialty Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Technician for night shifts. The role focuses on continuous cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and timely nurse notifications to ensure patient safety.

This seasonal position requires at least 1 year of cardiac monitoring experience and BLS certification. Rhythm interpretation certification is preferred; the incumbent will document rhythm strips and support unit clerical tasks as needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiac monitoring.
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation certification preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously observe the cardiac monitors for assigned telemetry patients and never leave monitors unattended without a qualified relief.
• Identify and interpret arrhythmias, notify the nurse of significant changes, and provide rhythm strips for documentation.
• Document rhythm changes during Code Blue events as directed by the nurse and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Respond to all monitor alarms and coordinate with nursing staff to correct issues quickly.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients in the central monitoring system and maintain accurate logs and hand-off information.
• Maintain competency by completing the ICU/TelemetryTech checklist and keeping equipment functioning properly.
• Perform chart-related tasks and enter orders accurately in the electronic health record when applicable.
