Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech for part-time night shifts (7p-7:30a) to monitor and identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry equipment. You will support patient care by notifying staff during emergencies and maintaining cardiac monitoring equipment for all admitted, discharged, or transferred patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an arrhythmia course, and demonstrated competency in operating telemetry equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an arrhythmia course with testing during introductory period.
• Competency in operating and troubleshooting telemetry monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry equipment.
• Notify appropriate personnel in emergencies.
• Maintain cardiac monitoring equipment for all patients admitted, discharged, or transferred.
• Operate telemetry central station monitoring equipment.
• Troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment to ensure optimal performance.
