Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and maintains records in the ICU and completes patient charts daily.
• Orders supplies for the unit and assists nursing staff with indirect patient care in ICU as needed.
