Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Monitor Technician at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This night shift role covers 8-hour shifts with an every-other-weekend rotation, totaling 48 hours every two weeks.

You will monitor cardiac rhythms, document findings, and collaborate with nurses to ensure patient safety. The position requires basic ECG training and the ability to interpret ECG rhythms, with ongoing competency assessments.

Qualifications

• Basic ECG training, reading and interpretation at time of hire or within 30 days.
• Annual ECG test.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor cardiac rhythms and report findings to the nurse.
• Document and communicate monitored recordings accurately.
• Identify and report rhythm abnormalities, including life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Collaborate with RN to set appropriate alarms per orders.
• Ensure constant coverage of the monitoring station.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; mentor team members.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
