Job summary

UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Perioperative Surgical Technologist to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures in the PVH Birthing Center. This onsite role offers a full-time night shift with pay dependent on experience.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, Surgical Tech credential and BLS certification; 6 months of experience or graduate of an accredited program is required. Expect a fast-paced environment with teamwork and precision.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• Required Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration; BLS.
• Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS/CPR card must be valid through sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments; assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Pass instruments to physician during surgery and continually account for number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
