Job summary

Meijer in Wisconsin seeks an Overnight Operations Manager to lead store operations at the Wauwatosa location. You will drive onboarding, coaching, and performance management while directing Leads and Team Leaders to optimize staffing and productivity.

You'll own budget items in the P&L, ensure safety/compliance, and champion Meijer culture, with a focus on developing talent and maintaining exceptional customer service across the span of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members in a way that provides clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.
• A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising which leads to meeting the needs of our customers/community and gaining sales and market share.
• A strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching and feedback.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Involvement in candid discussions to ensure Meijer standards are upheld and growth within the organization.
• Accountability for area operations and financial results, overseeing execution of plans to maximize sales and productivity and owning budget lines in the P&L.
• Drives safety and compliance store-wide and manages overall condition while following procedures.
• Ensures Team Leaders and Leads assign daily work and address training needs.
• This profile may include other duties as assigned.
