Hy-Vee is seeking an Overnight Stock Manager to lead the overnight crew, keep shelves stocked, and ensure a smooth start for daily operations. You’ll manage truck unloads, supervise teammates, train staff, and troubleshoot equipment, contributing directly to a positive shopping experience each morning.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a commitment to high standards in cleanliness, safety, and order throughout the store overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the overnight stock crew, directing duties and coordinating with managers.
• Oversee ordering from the warehouse including pre-orders for grocery and non-food items; coordinate with assistant managers.
• Manage the C.A.R.S. system for inventory setup, understock and backstock management, and order review.
• Unload trucks, break down pallets, sort items by aisle, and check in vendor deliveries.
• Write the overnight stock schedule and monitor time-off, vacations, overtime, and sick calls.
• Train new employees on stocking, tagging, checkout, and customer service; train supervisors on register handling.
• Conduct individual performance reviews and monitor crew productivity.
• Assist in customer service duties including checkout and bagging when needed.
