Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for the night shift to support sterile processing operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and storage of reusable medical devices and instruments, maintain traceability, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in healthcare sterile processing, and CRCST

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; can accept experience in lieu of degree
CRCST or CSPDT certification required
1–2 years of experience as Central Sterile Technician or similar in healthcare

Responsibilities

Perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and storage of sterile devices and instruments.
Operate washers, sterilizers and related equipment per policies and IFU.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function; identify items in need of repair.
Assemble instrument trays and equipment per standards.
Document processing through instrument tracking systems.
Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and processing consumables.
Transport instruments and supplies to care areas.
Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
Adhere to regulatory and infection prevention standards.
