Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• 1–2 years experience as a Central Sterile Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of sterile processing principles, instrumentation, sterilization methods, and infection prevention standards.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instrumentation.
• Operates sterile processing equipment, including washers and sterilizers, following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspects instruments and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness; identifies items requiring repair or replacement.
• Assembles instrument trays and procedure sets according to standardized listings and quality standards.
• Maintains instrument tracking systems to document processing activities and ensure traceability.
