Aufgaben

• Responsible for cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Collect used and contaminated equipment for sorting and decontamination.
• Manually cleaning supplies and operating decontamination equipment.
• Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
• Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment.
• Acts as a preceptor for new employees.
• Examing supplies to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Testing and reporting issues with sterilization equipment.
• Sterilizing and organizing equipment into instrument trays for procedures.
• Delivering equipment and instruments for surgeries and medical procedures.
• Maintaining records of sterilization procedures and inventory.
